Steger Village Administrator Conrad Kiebles

Conrad R. Kiebles has over 35 years experience in municipal operations, planning, project management, and grant preparation.
Kiebles began his professional career at the City of Chicago Public Works Department and the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission.
He then initiated the very first economic development program for the South Suburban Mayors & Managers Association.
Kiebles has done consulting for the Mid Metro Economic Development Group, the Lemont Area Development Council, and the Villages of Frankfort, Lynwood, and Sauk Village. He also served as the Community Development Director for the City of Oak Forest.
Kiebles is a Certified Economic Developer who attended Lewis University. He has a graduate degree from Indiana State University. He has taught extensively as an adjunct instructor at Lewis University, Roosevelt University, St. Xavier University and Robert Morris University. Kiebles is a graduate of the Illinois Municipal League Academy for Municipal Excellence. He recently completed the Unified Command Course of the Illinois Terrorism Task Force through the Illinois Fire Service Institute. Kiebles is a member of the Kiwanis Cub of Steger. He is the founder and organizer of the Kiwanis Chili Kookin' Kontest held as part of the annual Steger Oktoberfest.

The Village Administrator works at the direction of the Mayor and Board of Trustees as established by village ordinance. He is responsible for the programs and policies established by the Village Board.
The administrator provides leadership and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the financial, capital, and human resources of the village and all departments. This is accomplished by working closely with department heads of Police, Fire, Public Works, the Building Department, the Community Center and the Village Clerk.
The village administrator also serves as staff to the Steger Economic Development Committee and assists the Village Recreation Board.
