"Kenneth A. Peterson, Jr., a lifelong Steger resident, has been a
Village Trustee since May, 2003. Ken also serves as the Chairperson of the Village of Steger's Economic Development Committee.

He is an attorney with Bell, Boyd & Lloyd LLC in Chicago, heading the firm's finance group. His law practice is in municipal and corporate finance, primarily assisting local, county and state governments, businesses and financial institutions with raising capital.

In addition to his professional career, Ken is a coach with the Steger
Basketball Program and Steger's Little League and he is active in the
Boy Scouts of America. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1980 and is a member of the Scouts' Order of the Arrow. He and his wife Alice are active leaders with Steger Cub Scout Pack 173, the Cub Pack to which he belonged when he was a boy, and Boy Scout Troop 123. Ken has served as Cub Scout Pack 173's Chairman since 2004. Ken and Alice are also members of Steger's Kiwanis Club.

Ken received his bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 1988,
graduating cum laude. He earned magna cum laude honors when he received his jurisprudence doctorate in 1991 from Indiana University."
